Taking time and making sure the treadmill fits your own home and training style can help you tremendously in a long run. These are some features about the Horizon Evolve Sg Compact treadmill you should know about.

One of the main concern people have when looking for a treadmill is the size. Maybe treadmills are too big to fit in the house. Many people look for the one that can be stored neatly and easily. The Horizon Evolve SG Compact Treadmill is a perfect fit for many homes. Here are couple reason why:

Light weight

The Horizon Evolve SG Compact treadmill is only weighed at 99 lbs. Comparing to other treadmills which are usually weighed around 250 lbs, it is much easier to move it around on wheels without much effort.

Compact and convenient

With the size of 17"x45" walking surface, the Horizon Evolve SG Compact treadmill can fit easily in your own home or apartment. Not only that, the thickness when folded is around 10 inches so you can fold it up and slip away against the wall in closets or underneath beds or sofas. This means that you can save up plenty of space for other activities when you are not working out.

Easy set up

The Horizon Evolve SG Compact treadmill comes pre-assembled and there's no need for complicated setting up process. Just simply open the box, unfold, plug in and ready to use. Another great feature about this treadmill is the thumb based heart rate monitor which helps you keep your heart rate in check while working out. You can also listen to your favorite music through the MP3 or CD player on the treadmill.

Steady speed

The Horizon Evolve SG Compact treadmill allows you to walk or jog at the steady speed of 6 mile per hour or more. The engine is designed to stay stable but can speed up if you want to.

It has the retail price of $799 but you can find some deals online for only $599 or less.

Reebok Treadmills Revealed

There is no denying it, Reebok treadmills are a well recognized brand in the fitness equipment industry. All around the world the Reebok name is synonymous with quality sporting products and in the case of Reebok treadmills it is no different.

Interestingly enough the Reebok treadmills are not produced by Reebok as some might think, but instead Icon Health and Fitness, the largest manufacturer of exercise equipment in the world. By teaming up with Icon, Reebok have been able to put their name on some quality treadmills without the huge costs of designing and producing the machines themselves.

Priced at around $1,000-$1,500 they are aimed at the general home gym user or as Reebok say "designed for clubs, made for the home". Two of the best value treadmills in the range, the Reebok 5500C treadmill and the Reebok 3500C treadmill, have good quality components like a 2-2.5HP motor for a powerful workout and a 20 x 60 inch treadmill belt so you can really stretch out.

The only reservation I have is that a respected treadmill authority stated "there are some serious compromises in component construction" of the Reebok treadmills. When a leading fitness industry expert has this to say about the Reebok range then you sit up and take notice.

Also sometimes you might see a commercial treadmill carrying the Reebok brand name. These treadmills are not made by Icon so keep this in mind if you are looking around.

Advantages

Reebok treadmills are well priced for the specification that their treadmills offer. They are also backed up by one of the biggest names in the sporting world. You can be sure that it is not a fly by night outfit.

Disadvantages

The negative comment on the component construction from a leading treadmill authority really concerns me. Also the fact that Reebok is not a treadmill specialist. I prefer to buy and use equipment from companies that make their own equipment and specialize in the fitness equipment industry.

Recommendation

For those die hard Reebok enthusiasts, who am I to tell you not to buy a Reebok treadmill. You can't fault their reputation.

However, personally I wouldn't consider Reebok treadmills. I feel there are a number of better, more fitness equipment specific brands (check out my treadmill ratings and treadmill reviews) to choose from.

If you are thinking of spending this much money you should seriously consider comparing different brands and machines before making a decision.
